From the beginning, Christianity has been charged with spreading the good news of Christ's death and resurrection (Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 15:1-7). The disciples began their journey in Jerusalem, eventually spreading throughout Judea and into Samaria, ultimately reaching the ends of the Roman Empire (Acts 1:8). Kings and peasants alike have been given the opportunity to receive a timeless message issued by those who were willing to risk it all for Christ. Often times their journeys were fraught with perils of persecution and even death, however, the message of Christ continued to be preached in all the earth (2 Corinthians 1:3-11). This course will focus on developing a biblical theology of missions in order to enable the student to form a basis for a life-long endeavor whether at home or abroad.
