Institutional Learning Objectives (ILOs)

The objectives of "strength, light, and service" guide all aspects of our teaching and learning.

Strength

Involves God’s grace (empowerment), development, and formation of character.

ILO 1: All students will be equipped to develop the character of Christ.

Light

Includes revelation, knowledge, and illumination.

ILO 2: All students will be equipped to reflect the mind of Christ.

Service

Results from caring relationships, action, and applied skill.

ILO 3: All students will be equipped to show the love of Christ.

Degree Programs

Associate of Biblical Studies

A 2-year, 72 semester credit degree program. This study covers topics of Bible, ministry, and general studies.

  • Designed for students who desire to:
  • Interpret, apply, and communicate Scripture in ways that strengthen relationship with God.
  • Apply biblical insight and Christ-like values to various areas of Christian practice, work, human relationships, and ministry.
  • Communicate major domains of general studies in light of a biblical worldview.
  • Consider pursuing a Bachelor program at a transferable institution.
  • Have completed a High School diploma or its equivalent.

Bachelor of Biblical Studies

A 120 semester credit degree program. This study covers topics of Bible, ministry, and general studies.

  • Designed for students who desire to:
  • Transfer previously completed general studies courses from an accredited institution.
  • Interpret, apply, and communicate Scripture in ways that strengthen relationship with God.
  • Apply biblical insight and Christ-like values to various areas of Christian practice, work, human relationships, and ministry.
  • Communicate major domains of general studies in light of a biblical worldview.

Bachelor of Biblical Studies & Leadership

A 4-year, 120 semester credit degree program. This study covers topics of Bible, ministry, leadership, and general studies.

  • Designed for students who desire to:
  • Major in Biblical Studies and leadership.
  • Consider pursuing a Master or secondary Bachelor program at a transferable institution.
  • Interpret, apply, and communicate Scripture in ways that strengthen relationship with God.
  • Apply biblical insight and Christ-like values to various areas of Christian practice, work, human relationships, and ministry.
  • Communicate major domains of general studies in light of a biblical worldview.

Non-Degree Programs

Diploma in Biblical Studies

A 2-year, 72 semester for-credit program. This study covers topics of Bible, theology, and ministry.

  • Designed for students who desire to:
  • Interpret, apply, and communicate Scripture in ways that strengthen relationship with God.
  • Apply biblical insight and Christ-like values to various areas of Christian practice, work, human relationships, and ministry.
  • Have completed a High School diploma or its equivalent.

First-Year Essentials Certificate

A 9 month (2 semester) program. This study covers topics of Bible, theology, and ministry.

  • Designed for students who desire to:
  • Complete a gap year program in Biblical studies.
  • Demonstrate emerging knowledge of the Bible (NT focus), theology, and the essence of the gospel by interpreting, applying, and communicating Scripture in ways that strengthen relationship with God.
  • Apply biblical insight and Christ-like values to various areas of Christian practice, work, human relationships, and ministry.
  • All courses are transferable to our associate and bachelor programs.

Continuous Learning Program

Take courses for academic credit without planning to complete a degree program within the near future.

  • Designed for students who desire to:
  • Interpret, apply, and communicate Scripture in ways that strengthen relationship with God.
  • Apply biblical insight and Christ-like values to various areas of Christian practice, work, human relationships, and ministry.
  • Communicate major domains of general studies in light of a biblical worldview.
  • All courses are transferable to our associate and bachelor programs.

Non-Credit Programs

Certificate of Completion

A 2-year, non-credit program. This study covers topics of Bible, theology, and ministry.

  • Designed for students who desire to:
  • Study the Bible in-depth but either do not desire or are not academically prepared to earn college credit.

Audit/Personal Enrichment

Off-Campus students may audit courses for personal enrichment.

  • Designed for students who desire to:
  • Learn without receiving academic credit.
  • Interpret, apply, and communicate Scripture in ways that strengthen relationship with God.
  • Apply biblical insight and Christ-like values to various areas of Christian practice, work, human relationships, and ministry.

Emphasis Programs

General Leadership

  • Designed for students who desire to:
  • Serve in pastoral, youth, women's, or children's ministry.
  • Apply biblical insight to strengthen one’s relationship with God and inform the practice of Leadership.
  • Complete a degree program with a "minor" in Leadership.
  • Complete a certificate part-time off-campus.

Missions & Evangelism

  • Designed for students who desire to:
  • Proclaim the Gospel and train disciples of Jesus Christ abroad.
  • Apply biblical insight to strengthen one’s relationship with God and inform the practice of Missions & Evangelism.
  • Complete a degree program with a "minor" in Missions & Evangelism.
  • Complete a certificate part-time off-campus.

Apologetics

  • Designed for students who desire to:
  • Be equipped to defend the Christian faith with humility.
  • Apply biblical insight to strengthen one’s relationship with God and inform the practice of Apologetics.
  • Complete a degree program with a "minor" in Apologetics.
  • Complete a certificate part-time off-campus.

Worship Arts

  • Designed for students who desire to:
  • Lead worship, with the right heart and focus, in various ministry settings.
  • Apply biblical insight to strengthen one’s relationship with God and inform the practice of Worship Arts.
  • Complete a degree program with a "minor" in Worship Arts.
  • Complete a certificate part-time off-campus.
  • Due to the hands on training in these courses this emphasis cannot be completed entirely online.

Discipleship

  • Designed for students who desire to:
  • Spend time being discipled by a trained disciple-maker.
  • Learn a theology of disciple making.
  • Practice being a disciple maker.
  • Apply biblical insight to strengthen one’s relationship with God and inform the practice of Discipleship.
  • Complete a degree program with a "minor" in Discipleship.
  • Due to the hands on training in these courses this emphasis cannot be completed online.
