Bachelor of Biblical Studies and Leadership

OverView

The Bachelor of Biblical Studies and Leadership (BBSL) program requires 120 credits and is typically completed in 4-years. This program is designed to help students know God more deeply and be equipped to serve Him by means of a thorough, well-rounded, and prayerful study of His Word-the Bible. This is intended to provide students with a knowledge of God’s general will for their lives and a foundation for all aspects of their future, including their family life, vocation, ministry, employment, and future education.

Graduating students from this program will demonstrate their learning through summaries covering every passage of Scripture, comprehensive exams and papers on various topics of Christian Theology, and personal, evaluated involvement in service to others including at least one Evangelistic Outreach.

Required courses are composed primarily of eight Bible Core Classes (each representing a section of the Bible), foundational courses in Theology, Bible Survey, verse-by-verse studies of Bible books, and Practical Christian Ministry.

This program requires a minimum of 36 semester credits of general studies courses, with at least six credits in each of the following categories: English Communication & Critical Thinking, Humanities & Fine Arts, Natural Sciences & Mathematics, and Social & Behavioral Sciences.

Students will take additional required courses in leadership and ministry.

Program Learning Outcomes (pLOs)

4-Year Bachelor of Biblical Studies & Leadership (BBSL) Outcomes:

1. Exhibit knowledge of the Bible, theology, and the essence of the gospel by interpreting, applying, and communicating Scripture in ways that strengthen relationship with God. (ILOs 1 and 2).

2. Apply biblical insight and Christ-like values to various aspects of Christian practice, work, human relationships, and ministry as a foundation for life (ILOs 2 and 3).

3. Articulate knowledge of the major domains of general studies in light of a biblical worldview (ILO 2).

4. Employ transferable leadership knowledge, habits, and skills that reflect Christ-like character (ILOs 1, 2, and 3).
