The book of Exodus is foundational to an understanding of the Old Testament. This course will be an exegetical study of the book of Exodus with some added emphasis on the authorship of the Pentateuch, the Passover feast, the role of the law in the life of a New Testament believer and the history of the Near East at the time of the Exodus. Students will learn the historical background of the book of Exodus; understand the reason to believe in a Mosaic authorship; understand the content and structure of the book of Exodus; and understand the role of the law in our lives today as New Testament believers.
