Admissions

Dear prospective student,

It is encouraging to hear of your interest in studying the Word of God at Calvary Chapel Bible College. Just as Paul exhorts Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:15 “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”, the vision of CCBC is to provide a place where students can come and study the Word of God without distraction. The Admissions decision is made by our Admissions Review Board on the basis of the following criteria:

Spiritual Maturity 
Information contained in the application is thoroughly evaluated. This includes the student’s Personal Life Profile and Spiritual Life Profile.

Personal References 
Three reference forms are to be completed on behalf of the student. Individuals serving as student references are to have known the applicant for at least one year, they must not be related to the applicant by blood nor by marriage and one of the references must be a pastor.

Academic Preparedness 
There are three main Degree programs offered through CCBC.

Diploma of Biblical Studies (72 semester credits)- Any applicant desiring to enroll into the D.B.S. program is required to submit transcripts that provide evidence of high school completion or its equivalent.

Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies- Requires 72 semester credits and all requirements of the D.B.S. Of the 72 credits required, a minimum of 18 must be earned in general studies courses completed separately and transferred to CCBC from a U.S. Department of Education (DOE) recognized, accredited college.

Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies- Requires 132 semester credits and all the requirements of the D.B.S. Of the 132 credits required, a minimum of 36 must be earned in general studies courses completed separately and transferred to CCBC from a DOE recognized, accredited college.

Home Schooled Students
Home schooled students who wish to pursue a degree will need to provide an official record of completion from their home school association, along with complete transcripts.

Upon completing your application, you will be contacted by an admissions counselor within 1-3 weeks with a decision. Please complete your application two months prior to the semester start date.
