The Start of Spring 2025
On January 8th, staff and faculty had the privilege of welcoming students into a new semester at Calvary Chapel Bible College. From student-led events to the start of classes, the campus has been full of new memories, studying the Bible, and Christ-centered community. We are excited to be a part of how this semester will continue preparing our students for life and ministry!
Our semester theme is The Living Word from 1 Peter 1:22-23:
“Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God;”

Cambodia Bound
-Michael Ancheta, Director
Calvary Chapel Bible College prepares students for Spirit-filled life and ministry through the study of Scripture in a Christ-centered community.
The last words of our mission statement highlight the importance of community in Spiritual Formation. When discussing this concept, one of our students emphasized this quote from Andrew Murray’s Humility, “What a sobering thought, that our love for God is measured by our everyday interaction with men and the love it displays. Our love for God will be found to be an illusion, except where it is proven by the test of daily life with our fellow man.” CCBC strives to provide an environment where students can live out the two greatest commands, loving God and neighbor, both inside and outside of the classroom. While their hearts and minds are filled by studying God’s Word, it is in everyday interactions this knowledge is applied.
For 20 of our students, this growth is happening as we prepare for a three-week mission trip to Cambodia to partner with A Heart for Wisdom (AHFW), a Christian pre-K-12th grade school in Cambodia. In our Preparing for Missions course, these students are digging into the Word to shape their biblical worldview surrounding missions. This course is designed to prepare students for the spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional challenges faced in the mission field. This includes Bible study, cultural sensitivity training, fundraising, practicing worship, skits, and other evangelistic outreach projects to be done. Please pray for our team as they prepare to apply all they have been learning now and during our trip. Preparing Students for Missions
“In visiting Cambodia I hope to step out of my comfort zone and learn to pursue others in their own context. I have seen what trips like this have done in the lives of others around me, and I hope to learn more about how the Lord chooses to work.”
– Eli Bueno (4th semester student)
