Associate of Biblical Studies

A 72 credit degree program, traditionally completed in two years (four semesters.) A program fit for students who are interested in a Biblical foundation and a medium level of General Education. 

    Program Learning Outcomes

    Associate of Biblical Studies (ABS) Outcomes:

    1. Exhibit knowledge of the Bible, theology, and the essence of the gospel by interpreting, applying, and communicating Scripture in ways that strengthen relationship with God. (ILOs 1 and 2).

    2. Apply biblical insight and Christ-like values to various aspects of Christian practice, work, human relationships, and ministry as a foundation for life (ILOs 2 and 3).

    3. Articulate knowledge of the major domains of general studies in light of a biblical worldview (ILO 2).

    Going Deeper

    The Associate of Biblical Studies (ABS) program consists of 72 credits and is typically completed within 2 years. Its purpose is to deepen students’ understanding of God and equip them to serve Him through a comprehensive study of the Bible. This program provides a solid foundation for various aspects of students’ lives, including family, career, ministry, employment, and further education.

    Graduating students showcase their knowledge through scripture summaries, comprehensive exams and papers on Christian theology, and active participation in serving others, including at least one Evangelistic Outreach.

    The curriculum includes eight core Bible classes, covering different sections of the Bible, along with foundational courses in Theology, Bible Survey, verse-by-verse studies of Bible books, and Practical Christian Ministry.

    Additionally, students are required to complete a minimum of 18 semester credits in general studies courses, with at least three credits in each of the following categories: English Communication & Critical Thinking, Humanities & Fine Arts, Natural Sciences & Mathematics, and Social & Behavioral Sciences.
