Church Match Scholarship

Shared investment. Lower cost. Greater impact.

At Calvary Chapel Bible College, we believe ministry formation is a shared work between the student, their church, and the college. That’s why we don’t just offer scholarships. We invite partnership.

Through our Church Match Scholarship, CCBC matches any contribution a student’s home church makes toward tuition, up to one-third of the semester cost.

When churches give, we give. The result? Students pay less, churches stay connected, and we move forward united in mission to raise up gospel workers for the church and the world.

How the Church Match Scholarship Works

  • Church gives: up to one-third
  • CCBC matches: up to one-third
  • Student pays: the rest

Tuition is $300 per credit. A student’s home church can contribute up to $100 per credit. CCBC will match the church’s gift (up to $100 per credit.) The student pays the rest.

Here is an example of a maximum tuition match for a full-time student taking 15 credits:

  • Church gives $1,500
  • CCBC gives $1,500
  • Student pays $1,500

For part-time or online students, the match applies per credit in the same way.
Example: 6 credits = up to $600 from the church, $600 from CCBC, and the student pays the remainder.

This support can come from the church budget or a single Sunday love offering, as long as the gift is submitted directly from the church.

Full-Time Example Breakdown:

Church Gives CCBC Matches Student Pays
$1,500 $1,500 $1,500
$1,000 $1,000 $2,500
$500 $500 $3,500

Church Gives CCBC Matches Student Pays
$1,500 $1,500 $1,500
$1,000 $1,000 $2,500
$500 $500 $3,500

Every dollar a church gives is matched, and every contribution lowers the student’s cost.

How to Qualify for the Church Match Scholarship

To qualify, students must submit a brief Match Request Form—signed by their churchbefore registration closes for the semester they plan to attend.

If approved, the church will receive a secure link to make the contribution, and CCBC will match the amount, up to one-third of tuition.

Church Match Scholarship FAQ

Can part-time or online students apply?
Yes. This scholarship is open to all students—on campus or online, full-time or part-time. The match is calculated per credit for flexible enrollment.
What if my church can’t give the full one-third?

That’s okay. CCBC will match whatever amount your church is able to give, up to one-third of your tuition.

Churches can contribute from their budget or take a single Sunday love offering.

How does the church make its payment?
Once your application is approved, your church will receive a secure link to make its contribution. CCBC’s match will be applied after their payment is received.
What’s the deadline?
Your completed and signed form must be submitted before registration closes for the semester that you plan to attend.
Is needs-based financial aid still available?
No. The Church Match Scholarship has replaced our previous needs-based aid.
This new approach focuses on partnership between students, churches, and CCBC to increase affordability and deepen community support.
