The Associate of Biblical Studies is a 2-year degree that is designed to prepare students for life and ministry through courses in exposition of the whole Bible, foundational topics such as Bible Study Methods, Spiritual Formation and Ministry Development, as well as General Education from a Biblical worldview. This degree is intended to provide a Biblical foundation for students to live out an applied Christian worldview in their calling.

Course Details
Through courses in Bible core, ministry formation, and general education, this program’s purpose is to deepen students’ understanding of God and equip them to serve Him through a comprehensive study of the Bible. This degree is intended to provide a Biblical foundation for students to live out an applied Christian worldview in their calling.
Program Learning Outcomes
Associate of Biblical Studies (ABS) Outcomes:
1. Exhibit knowledge of the Bible, theology, and the essence of the gospel by interpreting, applying, and communicating Scripture in ways that strengthen relationship with God. (ILOs 1 and 2).
2. Apply biblical insight and Christ-like values to various aspects of Christian practice, work, human relationships, and ministry as a foundation for life (ILOs 2 and 3).
3. Articulate knowledge of the major domains of general studies in light of a biblical worldview (ILO 2).
Going Deeper
The Associate of Biblical Studies (ABS) program consists of 60 credits and is typically completed within 2 years. Its purpose is to deepen students’ understanding of God and equip them to serve Him through a comprehensive study of the Bible. This program provides a solid foundation for various aspects of students’ lives, including family, career, ministry, employment, and further education.
Graduating students showcase their knowledge through scripture summaries, comprehensive exams and papers on Christian theology, and active participation in serving others, including at least one Evangelistic Outreach.
The curriculum includes eight core Bible classes, covering different sections of the Bible, along with foundational courses in Theology, Bible Survey, verse-by-verse studies of Bible books, and Practical Christian Ministry.
Additionally, students are required to complete a minimum of 18 semester credits in general studies courses, with at least three credits in each of the following categories: English Communication & Critical Thinking, Humanities & Fine Arts, Natural Sciences & Mathematics, and Social & Behavioral Sciences.
