Shared investment. Lower cost. Greater impact.
At Calvary Chapel Bible College, we’ve always believed that discipleship is a shared work between students, churches, and the college. That’s why we’re excited to introduce a new way to make Bible college more affordable while strengthening the bond between students and their home churches: The Church Match Scholarship!
As part of this shift, we are transitioning away from traditional needs-based financial aid. Instead, we’re focusing our limited scholarship resources on partnership-based support, amplifying the impact of local churches and multiplying our reach. The Church Match Scholarship reflects this commitment to shared responsibility, deeper relationships, and greater long-term fruitfulness.
How the Church Match Scholarship Works
The Church Match Scholarship invites local churches to partner in their students’ education. When a church contributes toward a student’s tuition, CCBC will match that gift, up to one-third of the student’s tuition for the semester. The result is that a student’s cost could be reduced by two-thirds, making Bible college more accessible than ever.
- Church gives: up to one-third
- CCBC matches: up to one-third
- Student pays: the rest
This applies to on-campus and online students alike, including part-time students, with the match calculated per credit. Churches can give from their general budget or designate a single Sunday love offering. The only requirement is that the contribution comes directly from the church.
Why It Matters
This isn’t just about money, it’s about mission. When churches invest in the biblical and spiritual formation of their people, they are not only supporting students, they are shaping future leaders. And when we all invest together, we help ensure that no one has to pursue God’s call alone.
Students pay less. Churches invest. The mission advances.
How to Participate
If you’re a church leader who wants to invest in a student’s tuition, or a student interested in talking with your church, getting started is simple. A short form, signed by the church, must be submitted before registration closes for the semester.
If approved, the church will receive a secure link to make the contribution, and CCBC will match the amount, up to one-third of tuition.
